Nature Action

Among the most notable examples of the need for action is the reliance on biodiversity and ecosystems for food, fiber, materials, water, medicines, human health, climate regulation, and protection from extreme events. Accordingly, nature action strives to enhance remedies for ecosystem degradation and biodiversity loss, which jeopardize human welfare and threaten the economy and vital supply chains.

The findings on this topic highlighted the importance of assisting countries, regardless of their socioeconomic status, with ecosystem-based approaches, including natural infrastructure. As a result, the action is actively supporting sustainable consumption and production to conserve, restore, and safely manage ecosystems while also assisting with infrastructure finances.
